So great to see our Nia dads & uncles come out to team up with their daughters/nieces for our annual father/daughter bowling competition! The men got real competitive, and the girls enjoyed seeing them work hard for a win! The girls brought their best bowling game, and the fathers/uncles were there to root them on. Another great Nia day!
What a wonderful time we had our our annual Mother~Daughter Spa Party with our newest Nia mothers and daughters! Delicious food, relaxing spa treatments, mother/daughter discussions, and great fellowship…yes, it was a wonderful day! It was very nice to see many of our newest Nia mothers and daughters enjoying each other! We also had two of our alumni Nia girls attend to volunteer their help, which was great and very needed! We are already looking forward to our spa party next year!
We are thrilled to announce that our weekly meetings have moved to the Sacramento Food Bank! We have our own classroom fully equipped with all of our technology needs. The Sacramento Food Bank is graciously renting the facility to us at a very affordable rate, allowing us to make the move to be a more community based organization. They have welcomed us to their facility with open arms, and we are very happy to be there!
We are very excited to welcome our 8 newest 6th grade girls our Sisters of Nia family! They have been a joy to work with and are all very eager to learn what it means to be a Sister of Nia. This year is our first year rebuilding the program from 6th grade. Girls in the program attend either Ps7 Middle School or Ephraim Williams College Prep Middle School. Our new Nia girls have jumped right in with open minds and positive attitudes…these girls are on their way living their lives with purpose!
