Special Thanks to the Active 20/30 Club, Rio De Los Amigos, and Otto Construction for their financial support of Camp Nia! There would be no Camp Nia without their support. Thank you to St. Hope Public Schools for allowing us the use of their facility for Camp Nia. Finally, thank you to all the Camp Nia ladies and their families for their positive energy and support! We’ll see you next year at Camp Nia 2013!
Wow! What an amazing performance from the Camp Nia ladies! All the girls showed extreme confidence in performing their dances, play, and songs. The set created by the Stage Design class was a wonderful addition to the show. The girls presented an African dilemma tale which asked their audience to think about what they can do to help improve the state of the earth, and mankind. What will you do?
Today was a BUSY day! The girls spent the first half of the day rehearsing on stage, then shared amazing testimonies of how their lives have been changed after being part of Camp Nia. They also shared about how they plan to continue working on their talent. The afternoon was spent in dress rehearsal, putting the final touches on their performance.
Camp Nia Day 8
The girls were busy finalizing their performance, then had a chance to rehearse all together for the first time. Looks like it’s going to be an amazing show!
Camp Nia Day 7
Great Progress! It is so wonderful to see all these beautiful girls working so hard on their craft for the performance! Stage design has made wonderful progress toward the set, singers are getting stronger, drama students are owning their characters, and dancers are perfecting their steps! It’s going to be a great show!
